Andarge and Sreyrath were the category leaders this week. Four runners set superb personal bests (PBs), and it was great to see regular runners continue to improve, with some long-held records finally falling and newer runners making great strides.
Analysis and Consistency
We had two very good sub-1.00 rated pacing performances this week, with John and Paul demonstrating metronomic pacing. The Pacing Consistency rating is an algorithm designed to give runners an idea of how well they have balanced their efforts across the race. Ratings below 1.00 are very well paced, and the lower the rating, the better, in general, for overall optimum performance.
There were also some excellent finishes, with Craig and Tes both running strong final laps. Craig scored the quickest lap of the day, which moved him up to #34 on the all-time Sokha Lap list.
A special thanks as always to our five volunteer officials on the morning - Seavleang, Neil, Kimkheang, Michele and Meyjou.
We would like to extend our gratitude to all the runners and supporters who made this running event a success. Phnom Penh Athletics Club is a community-oriented club with the vision of contributing to the development of grassroots athletics and sport in general in Cambodia. We welcome runners (and non-runners) of all levels to get involved and we appreciate your feedback. We hope to see you all next time!
