PPAC-140 3km Road Race [20 October 2024]

The club's fifth 3km/3000m distance race of 2024 began at 6:05 in good weather and with excellent course conditions on our Boeung Trabek road course. 8 runners toed the line for this regular 3km distance club meet. PPAC-138 5000m Track Meet [29 September 2024]

Phnom Penh Athletics Club's eighth 5000m/5km distance race of 2024 began at 6:10 AM, in warm, bright and humid conditions at the Olympic Stadium track. Track races are generally conducive to better times compared to the road, and this was no exception with a slew of impressive new PBs including a new all-time PPAC record over the distance. 18 runners toed the line with the prospect of 12.5 exciting and dramatic laps awaiting... PPAC-137 3km Road Race [8 September 2024]

The club's fourth 3km/3000m distance race of 2024 began at 6 AM sharp, with cool, overcast and breezy conditions on our Boeung Trabek road course. 13 runners toed the line for the notorious 3 km distance. Some might be intimidated by the tricky combination of speed and endurance required by the 3 km distance, but not our brave runners! The race report and full results are below. PPAC-136 5km Road Race [25 August 2024]

PPAC's August 5km took place at the classic Sokha course. 24 runners made it to the finish line in warm and humid conditions, with little wind. The race report and full results are below. Running Roundup August 2024

Tough Trails in Kirirom Congratulations to everyone who participated in the 2024 Cambodia Elephant Trail in Kirirom on 11 August. The newly redesigned course was a grueling challenge with a lot of new technical terrain and steep climbing added. The course difficulty only made the stunning mountain vistas all the more breathtaking. Our regular Phnom Penh Athletics training group performed particularly well, with a number of strong efforts including top-10 finishes and podium placings. Well done to our podium placers Lindsay and Tia (2nd and 3rd female – 25km). Jack and Vincent (1st and 2nd Male – 25km) and Bora (3rd Male – 12km), all regulars at our popular Thursday Threshy sessions. Also shout-outs to Paul and Yonas for top-10 finishes in the 50km! PPAC-135 5km Road Race [21 July 2024]

PPAC's July 5km took place on a brand new road course near Boeung Trabek! Runners were treated to optimal conditions, as the weather stayed cool with a slight breeze and the new course offered long, straight sections of fresh bitumen. Results 18 runners started the race at 5:59 AM and some tight battles formed almost instantly. In the Men's category, Vantha took the lead early in the race, with Hugo, in his 30th event, sticking close behind. While Vantha managed to lead at all of the checkpoints, it was Hugo who eventually ran home as the winner, snatching the lead in the final straight with a calculated kick.
