3km Road Race Rankings [Jan-Mar 2022]

Already one quarter of the way through 2022 and we've had two open 3km races and an additional race held as part of the youth championship in early February. On the eve of our fourth 3km race of the year here are the overall rankings for performances so far.

16-01  PPAC-87 3km Road Race
06-02  PPAC-90 3km Road Race (Youth Championship Round 2)
27-02  PPAC-92 3km Road Race

We've recorded 67 performances so far in 2022 and out of those 48 individuals have recorded times. Here we've ranked the best performances from each individual participant in 2022. Overall rankings are ordered by PPAC Points which allow a fair comparison between M and F performances as well as giving an idea of relative performance to compare with other distances. Performances which did not score points are listed by finish time.

With nine months of the year remaining and at least 6 more 3km road races scheduled by PPAC (and hopefully some other 3km races), athletes have the chance to build up their performances and aim to move up the ranking table, and at the end of the year awards will be given for performance and dedication in the Youth/Senior/M/F categories.

These races are great for youth and senior athletes alike. 3km is at the shortest end of what we can class as distance races, where the qualities of a well trained distance runner are still important, yet it is short enough for beginners and those who are building up their running level to come and enjoy taking part.

Good running and good luck for your next 3km race!

PPAC-151 5km Road Race [7 September 2025]

Our September PPAC 5K was well attended, with many new faces and regular attendees showing up to test out their fitness. 23 athletes lined up to start the race including 9 Phnom Penh Athletics Club members, and 9 first timers! The race began at 6:03am in good running conditions with a slight breeze. This week we were glad to offer pacing for some of the popular time goals. Thanks to Hugo (Sub-20min pacer), Styvenn (Sub-22min pacer) and Jack (Sub-24min pacer) for their contributions. If you are interested in hitting a specific time goal at our next 5K race, let us know and we'll do our best to find a pacer if we can! In the men's race we saw Terence get out fast, showing his unmatched speed and helping himself to an all-time road course record of 16:24. The previous record of 16:42 was set almost five years ago by Pheara Vann, so it was exciting to see the record finally fall. Terence's running is a source of inspiration for many of our athletes, ...

PPAC-149 5km Road Race [6 July 2025]

For our July 5K we were pleased to welcome several new participants for their first event with Phnom Penh Athletics Club , including athletes from Sachkam  Running Club. The race report and full results are below. Please stay tuned to our regular channels for our next race announcements. Results This Sunday PPAC was back for another terrific 5K race at Sokha. In an attempt to beat the morning sun, the race started at 5:49 AM with 18 speedy runners taking the line. For this race, we were fortunate to have some PPAC members offer themselves for pacing duties; Jess (Sub-30), Mark (Sub-25) and Hugo (Sub-20). Their pacing had an obvious impact, with strong pace packs forming during the race and a number of people reaching their goals thanks to the pacing. At the front of the race, Hugo led a pack of six runners through the Park Lap running at sub-20 minute pace. The group gradually lost a few, but Paul (1st p...

PPAC-152 5km Road Race [2 November 2025]

This week we had 10 PPAC members, and 2 athletes from SheRuns participating. The race kicked off at 6:02AM, and instantly took shape, with the finishing order already mostly established by the time the athletes made it through the first checkpoint. Race Report In the men's, Craig (1st) went out with a clear goal and was consistent with his pacing. Leading from the front all race and helping himself to a healthy PB in 18:09. Hugo (2nd) was next in line and added to his run of consecutive sub-20 performances, this time with a PB. Paul (3rd), reliable as ever, rounded out the podium with a sub-20 performance of his own.
