PPAC-126 5km Road Race [25 February 2024]

Our second 5km race of 2024 set off for a prompt 6:00 am start in cool but overcast conditions with 43 runners at the start all completing the distance between 19 and 42 minutes. We had a great mix of participants with various levels, age ranges, and backgrounds, showcasing both outstanding performance and dedication. The race report and full results are below. Impressively, eleven runners with previously recorded times set personal bests (PB), improving on previous times by margins between just 0.7s and 5:54 with an average 6.6% improvement, including two U16 runners hitting sub-21 minutes, and three athletes going sub-25 for their first time in a PPAC 5km race 👏. PPAC-125 800m Track Meet [11 February 2024]

800m: Where speed meets stamina – can you handle it? Our second track meet of 2024 offered a chance for athletes to get a real taste of the world of speed endurance with two hard fought laps of the track. After a comprehensive warm up session led by club Head Coach Meyjou, the ten determined athletes battled it out in two thrilling heats over the shortest middle distance event, leaving everything on the track, all before the clock struck 7:15 AM! PPAC-124 200m Track Meet [28 January 2024]

Ever dreamed of sprinting like lightning? Our first track meet of 2024 offered a chance for young athletes (and seasoned veterans!) to chase their dreams on the track. All athletes opted for the 200m race so proceedings were divided into three heats, two men's and one women's heat, with all track activity done and dusted (and soaked by sprinklers) by 7:30 AM! PPAC-123 5km Road Race [14 January 2024]

Our first race of 2024 set off for a prompt 6:15 am start in perfect running conditions with 23 runners finishing between 20 and 37 minutes. The race report and full results are below. See you soon with our full 2024 schedule! Results Muyngim, Bunheng and Markus were the category leaders this week and this was our first ever 5km race with a female overall 1st place finisher! There was also a unique club-first achievement in which the top 3 points scorers were female runners, plus some big club records in the female V50 and male V60 categories (quicker by 7:32 & 26s respectively). Six runners with previously recorded times set personal bests (PB), improving on previous times by margins between 28.7s and 4:18 with an average 5.7% improvement, including two runners hitting sub-25 minutes for their first time in a PPAC 5km race. PPAC-122 5km Road Race [10 December 2023]

Our December race set off for a prompt 6:10 am start in cool conditions and an excellent turnout of 33 runners at the start line finishing between 18 and 39 minutes. This week Andarge led early from the front at sub 3:30 min/km pace before finishing in the fastest 5km time of 2023 and scoring a 20th first place PPAC 5km finish.
